The Enterprise Reporting System is a high-performance web enterprise reporting platform built on ASP.NET Core (.NET 9.0) and a modern responsive Single Page Application (SPA) frontend.

It connects directly to Microsoft SQL Server databases to execute stored procedures and analytical views dynamically, rendering interactive tabular grids, visual analytics charts, drill-down sub-reports, and automated email attachments in Excel (.xlsx), PDF, or CSV formats.

The system enforces strict Role-Based Access Control across three distinct user roles:

Select any report from the left navigation sidebar menu. The parameter panel dynamically generates filter inputs based on the SQL Stored Procedure metadata.

To maximize screen area for data grids and charts, the filter panel includes an Expand / Collapse Toggle Button (▼ / ▶).

• Expanded Mode: Displays all filter parameter input fields in a compact responsive grid.
• Collapsed Mode: Shrinks the filter panel into a single 34px slim header bar, granting over 85% vertical screen space to the data grid.
• The collapsed or expanded preference is remembered automatically across sessions.

• Visible Columns Chooser (👁️ Columns): Show or hide specific table columns dynamically.
• Quick Search Row Filtering: Instantly filter tabular rows on the client-side as you type.
• Pagination: Switch between 10, 25, 50, 100, or All (Unlimited) rows per page.
• Visual Analytics Charts: Switch between Tabular Grid and Visual Charts (Bar, Line, Pie, Doughnut).
• Drill-Down Navigation: Click on highlighted hyperlinked values to drill down into detailed child reports with automated parameter passing and breadcrumb trail navigation.

Click export buttons in the toolbar to generate formatted files:

• 📗 Export Excel (.xlsx): Downloads styled native Excel workbooks with custom headers and column formatting.
• 📄 Export CSV: Downloads standard comma-separated files.
• 📑 Print / PDF: Opens print preview or saves printable PDF reports.

Admins can map SQL Server Stored Procedures or Views into executive business reports without modifying core backend code.

When creating or editing a report definition, two distinct checkboxes control visibility and execution status:

• 1. Report (Active/Deactive): Master switch (`IsActive`). When set to Deactive, the report is disabled globally and excluded from automated schedulers.
• 2. Show/Hide on navigation sidebar: Display toggle (`ShowInSidebar`). Controls whether the report appears in the left navigation menu.

Configure background crons to execute reports automatically and email attachments to executive distribution lists.

While creating or editing an automated schedule, the Target Report dropdown list displays only active reports. Deactivated reports are automatically excluded from scheduled execution.

• Daily: Runs every morning at 8:00 AM (`0 8 * * *`).
• Weekly: Runs every Monday morning at 8:00 AM (`0 8 * * 1`).
• Monthly: Runs on the 1st of every month at 8:00 AM (`0 8 1 * *`).
• Custom Cron Expression: Supports standard 5-field cron strings.

Visually construct analytical queries on any database view or table safely without writing SQL statements:

1. Select target Table or View from the database.
2. Check/uncheck target columns to include.
3. Add filter conditions (`WHERE` clauses with Equals, Contains, Between, Greater/Less Than).
4. Optionally add aggregations (`SUM`, `AVG`, `COUNT`, `MIN`, `MAX`) and aliases.
5. Click Run Custom Query or Export to Excel.

Introspect live database schema objects in SQL Server. View parameter lists for stored procedures and column data types for views and tables.
